Long overdue, ‘Lost Miniature Railways’ looks at the lines that didn’t survive.
‘Lost Miniature Railways’, written by regular Miniature Railway contributor Jonathan James, is a 64-page illustrated survey of 37 miniature railways that have closed over the years, from the Channel Islands to the North of England. Some lines were well known and much visited – such as that at the Liverpool Garden Festival – while others were rather further off the ‘beaten track’. Includes many rarities and private lines.
And just to make absolutely sure that another gem doesn’t join the list, for every book sold £4 will be donated to the Fairbourne Railway Coronavirus Appeal. Never comfortably off, the railway is really suffering in the current lock-down crisis.
