The Sutton Coldfield Miniature Railway wasn’t in the Romney or Ravenglass league, but it closed prematurely, and there is huge interest in the railway and its convoluted (and happily well recorded) history. ortunately, the rolling stock was salted away, and writing in 2024, there are tantalising suggestions that it might make some sort of comeback

Eventually the line closes, but thanks to the foresight of owner Bill Hunt, the locomotives and carriages were put in secure storage to run again in preservation, to the delight of a new generation. This documentary comes highly recommended.
