A superb 10.25″ railway in the grounds of a special needs school near Billingshurst. The line is mostly modern, but it has a very interesting history

Kerr’s Miniature Railway
Now sadly no longer with us. This 10.25″ railway was operated by three generations of the Kerr family in Arbroath. It was the wrong site for such historic equipment and it eventually closed, but the iconic machinery lives on at several sites

Exmoor Steam Railway
The line was briefly open to the public for entertainment, but it’s real raison d’etre was as a test track for it’s own new-build locomotives. Amongst the best narrow gauge miniature locomtives ever built
