When the Sutton Coldfield Fifteen Inch Gauge Railway was first published in 1990, there were (unusually) a lot of good quality photos that could not be included for reasons of space.
The railway had a chequered career, and was rebuilt at least four times between 1907 and 1962. Finally,  the council decided to evict the railway and redevelop the area. As so often elsewhere, the eviction took place, but the development didn’t really happen.

Author J G Tidmarsh drove at Sutton Coldfield for many years, so you can be pretty confident that the captions to the many photos are accurate!
This follow-up volume makes good use of over 100 of these ‘missing’ photos. Like the original book, a real bargain at £4.99, and profits go to maintaining the locos in their new home.
