More Details

Hands up if you’ve heard of any of this issue’s railways. And full marks if you know them all: Tan-y-Bwlch and Creuau Bank, Cuckoo Hill and Hampton Loade. Cuckoo Hill was situated at the Avon Valley Nursery near Fordingbridge in Hampshire. It survived for a quarter of a century, but was little known to the world at large. Hampton Loade lived for a decade or so, but never quite got round to carrying the public… Tan-y-Bwlch and Creuau Bank sparkled for a few short years at Tan-y-Bwlch station on the Ffestiniog Railway, then disappeared as quickly as it arrived.

Miniature Railway is a 52-page A5 magazine. Launched in 2006, the magazine was originally published three times a year. There are now four issues a year, and they sell around the world. The magazine aims to cover all ride-on miniature railways, from 5-inch gauge to 15-inch gauge. Plus what might be termed as ‘light narrow gauge’ too.
